HELP! Not seeing my remote files.

Not seeing my files in the remote window pane. The remote window shows I'm connected to my host but I get the following in the log window. Please help!

I'm trying to upload large file and half way through it gets dropped! I reconnect select resume, but it won't pick up where it left off.

The log file says..

Failed to load resource DLL & Right-Click issues

After installing version 12.2, i continually get a "failed to load resource dll" error when attempting to right-click on any file or folder throughout my computer. It also effects my ability to drag and drop files such as pictures from one folder to another. After removing WS FTP, everything is back to normal. I really want to continue to use this product but it is impossible to operate my computer with these issues. I am using Window 7 on a 64 bit system. It worked well on my 32 bit XP Pro machine. Any help or suggestions would be appreciated.
I posted this earlier but believe I placed it in the wrong locatin of the forum

Trying to import sites from version 5 to the newest version.

Copied the ws_ftp.ini file from the old computer running Windows XP to the new computer running Windows 7.
Put the file on the new computer in C:\Users\\AppData\Roaming\Ipswitch\WS_FTP\Sites.

Some sites are there but it appears any with saved password are not showing up. When you try to add one manually, software says the site already exists. So it knows it is there but just is not showing it.

Anyone familiar with what I need to do to get this working? Ideally I wanted the sites with saved passwords to just show up.

I purchased WS_FTP Home in 2006. Bought a new computer recently (Vista). Couldn't download immediately due to change in email address. So while I waited for a reply from Customer Service I downloaded the Trial Version, which worked just fine.

My trial period ran out and still no reply from the company, so I phoned and sorted out with new email address. The last thing I was told was that I must not have the program on my computer. So I uninstalled the Trial version and downloaded the 2007 program. However, I have not been able to install it. It gets stuck when it is modifying my system. My computer rumbles away for about half an hour. A message pops up saying "WS_FTP Home appears not to have installed correctly for the current user."

I have uninstalled and re-downloaded a number of times. No improvement.

Can anyone help me?

Explicit FTP/SSL failing on connection with GoDaddy host

After the connection is established, I get a failure that says:

534 Fallback to [C]
Failed to switch to encrypted data channel!

What would cause this? The connection works fine with regular FTP, but when I add the secure FTP into the picture it fails. GoDaddy supports only the explicit secure FTP connection and they are telling me: "You may want to try using FileZilla or another program where the supported connection type has been tested and is known to work."

I just bought WS_FTP Home because I really liked the interface, I'd rather figure out how to make this work! I don't doubt I've got a configuration error on my end, but since I'm pretty new to this SSL stuff, I don't know where to start. GoDaddy has a FAQ that states:

Yes. FTP over SSL (FTPS) allows for the secure uploading of content and comes in two versions: implicit and explicit. Our Linux shared hosting accounts support explicit FTPS. Explicit FTPS can be utilized with any FTP client supporting AUTH TLS (explicit) functionality. Below is a partial list of such FTP client applications:

SmartFTP

CuteFTP 7.1 Pro

FileZilla

Client application settings may require modification to enable FTP over SSL. Please see your application's documentation for details.

FTP clients that do not support AUTH TLS (explicit) functionality include WS_FTP.

Someone from WS_FTP team might want to work with GoDaddy to get this working (which I expect it would if I had my stuff setup properly!!) and get this product slap out of their FAQs. I should add that this FAQ entry was updated earlier in May.

Is it possible to schedule a file to delete from the remote system? I already have the file scheduled to be FTP'd to our local drive. I want to then delete the file from the remote system. Possible?

I would guess that when the year is over you can [b]renew the subscription[/b] by going to http://www.wsftple.com/renew/ ... and entering the appropriate info. After the download in the WSFTP Pro folder there is a "Manage License" link you can use to refresh the current license.

WS-FTP LE was deleted in about 2003 with version 6 being the last. You can still find a copy of it at http://www.OldVersion.com or just go directly to their WS-FTP LE download page at http://www.oldversion.com/WS_FTP-Limited-Edition.html.

I had WS-FTP Pro 2007 installed on my PC along with WS-FTP LE 6, with the installation of WS-FTP 12 LE (I guess I downloaded it to the wrong folder) it replaced my Pro 2007 but, imported my "sites". So, it looks like I am stuck with WS-FTP LE for the next year after which I will stick with it or revert back to WS-FTP Pro 2007 via the MYIPSWITCH account download.

Hi All, I'm on the road with my laptop and don't have WS_ftp on it. I've used the app for years and like it very much. However, it appears that there is no longer a FREE version.........I mean a totally FREE version as opposed to a FREE to Try version.

Is that the case?

I'm trying to connect to an SFTP site and upload some files, but it won't connect. I'm using WS_FTP Home 2007. When I try to connect, I get the following error message:

Initializing SSL Session ...

I can connect using the free software Filezilla, but I'd rather use WS_FTP, which I paid for.

Has anyone had the problem of multiple "My Computer" tabs opening upon startup?

Sometimes, I have more than a dozen open, all the same, but the "x" is not available to close them.

I've changed the Auto reconnect (options). No help.

Hello,

I spent over an hour and a half uploading three songs (mp3) to my friend's web site - on a dial-up connection. Everything seemed to be going well, the files showed up on the web site directory, BUT the file size for all three songs shows up as "0 KB", so basically there is nothing there to show for all that time spent uploading. What happened?

Please respond a.s.a.p. 'cause I only have 30 days to get this working...

Information window won't lock back into position

Hello everyone,

I just downloaded WS_FTP Home a couple of days ago, and I really like it a lot. However, today as I'm using it, the Information Window "unlocked" from its position at the bottom of the window. And now I can't "lock" it back into position. I can have it "floating" above the main window, or make the Information window full-screen, but I can't lock it down at the bottom of the screen.

Any ideas?

I've tried uninstalling/reinstalling but it didn't help.

I'm running WindowsXP Pro.

File Browser gone

I have used IP_Switch for many years now...
Suddenly, the file browser (left window) is there no more!
I still am able to connect to remote ftp servers no problem.
All I can make appear in the left window is a "local search" thing that I have never seen before.
I want the browser back!!! :) Otherwise, I can't use IP_Switch any more.

(My WS-FTP Home Version is 2007.0.0.2-2007.05.29)

I wear whatsup gold v14.2

I want to ask is:
1. why every time I enter a new device does not always get the Device Attribute that always exist in each device.
2. how to use Discovery Console, every time I wear it, I do not get SNMP well with other words I always get the alert that says "The Device xxx.xxx.xxx did not respond to any of the Provided SNMP credential."
